Pointe Ronde from the Col de Forclaz – 21st January 2026

A ski-tour that starts by winding its way round through the forests before climbing through the open slopes leading to the summit of Pointe Ronde. Over-looking the Swiss town of Martigny with views of the high mountains of the Alps.

Col du Bel Oiseau – 20th January 2026

Starting from the Swiss village of Finhaut, this tour gains 1300m of height, ascending through fields, forests and mountain slopes to reach this col round the back of the Bel Oiseau summit at around 2500m. A great ski back down to finish the day..!

Meall à Bhaucaille in the Cairngorms – 10th January 2026

Part of a mountain skills training weekend for ski-tourers, we had escaped from the high winds and queues on Cairngorm to start this ski-tour from Glenmore.
